I think it could be removed entirely and then changeling would be good from a mechanical point of view. I agree Juggernaut and Skirmisher are undertuned, but only compared to Envoy – compared to any other race they still get as much or more including the base WF traits, Envoy just gets that little bit beyond.
Making the assumption that everyone will have magic is contrary to 5e’s design. The book includes extensive information on each race, plus new race-related feats, prestige classes, spells, and equipment.

The Gorgon’s Alliance Planescape: Huh, I found wildhunt shifters to be very underwhelming. That or give them advantage on Death Saving throws to indicate that they’re physically more durable and can take a beating. I would say the half-orc is better at this point but not by that much, the darkvision being the biggest factor.

In fact, I think old Changeling needed a little extra, and am glad to see some of that in this UA. Kinda feel the same way about the mind connection. Along a similar line, the book does get into variant racial options, from Valenar Elves to some slightly different Gnomes and the like.
I would also make clear that the ability works with medium armor master, heavy armor master, and the defensive fighting style. You give a ring of protection thinking the squishy caster or rogue will get more ac?
I also think you’re downplaying the impact of AC and HP loss. Disease immunity is something that seems ot hardly ever come up, and is something a level 3 paladin gets, Mot having to eat or drink also hardly comes up, since few DMs track that sort of stuff.
Which isn’t gamebreaking overall, but damned useful. They are literal walking metal death machines, and a good, flavorful class feature to give them is armor that gives them generally higher AC than other races.

Envoy Warforged are getting a skill proficiency they get to choose, a tool with expertise if spent on thieves tools that’s pretty valuablefloating ASIs, and resistance to poison.
Eldritch Wizardry Supplement IV: Being able to breathe I disagree with – there are tons of situations, even in official modules, where “impassable” barriers are created through the use of bodies of water, poisonous mists, buildings full of smoke, etc. Everyone decided it makes more sense for the warforged to get it I like Eberron, and so wanted s&d learn more about Eberron.
